The annual open enrollment period for Obamacare plans (i.e. individual major medical insurance) sold on and away from the state-based and federally facilitated health insurance exchanges begins November 1, 2017. Again, this year, the trend is toward fewer carriers participating in the state-based and federally facilitated health insurance exchanges established under the Affordable Care Act.
