First-dollar Coverage

Benefits paid by the insurance company from the first dollar billed, without cost sharing by the insured (e.g., copayments or deductibles). ACA qualifying major medical plans have first-dollar coverage for preventive care visits, meaning you won't pay anything out of pocket for a standard preventive care visit, even if your deductible hasn't been met for the year.
